Is your skin lacking radiance or an inability to reflect light well.

Dull skin is often caused by dryness and one of the most popular reasons for dry skin, is not exfoliating enough or not exfoliating properly.

The air and atmosphere that you are in every day not only has an effect on your lungs as you breathe it in, but it also attaches itself to your skin. Polluted air contains thousands of small particles such as dirt, which contribute to your skin having a dull and an uneven texture. These particles also diffuse light, making your skin appear more dismal and cause you to have more wrinkles!

So make sure you wash your skin every single night. The dirt your skin collects throughout the day will damage your skin at night if it’s not removed.

Stress gets expressed in many forms in our body and getting problem skin is one of them. This is due to the fact that when you’re stressed, your fight-or-flight response kicks in and blood flows to your vital organs, where the skin isn’t one of them. This leads to the appearance of a more dull and tired complexion.

If you have stress you should try to reduce your stress levels and get more sleep but for the instances when you just want to make your skin seem a little more awake, try giving yourself a quick facial massage. It will stimulate blood flow, giving you a more glowing, plump and awake complexion.

Dr. Marcell, MD., agree that using a gentle TCA cleanser like the I’m Fabulous Cosmetics TCA cleanser, is a noninvasive approach that uses trichloroacetic acid and plants to exfoliate dead cells from the skin, without downtimes and that it is indeed a very conservative approach to making your skin healthy and glowing.

Dull skin may appear dry, patchy, ashy, or lackluster. Additionally, dullness is often accompanied by an uneven skin texture TCA (trichloracetic acid) is an analog of acetic acid (like vinegar) and is an active ingredient in many popular chemical peels. When applied to the skin, TCA peels exfoliate the top layer of skin over the course of several days, exposing a smoother and more attractive new layer of skin underneath.

What are the benefits of using TCA?

What is TCA?

TCA (Trichloroacetic Acid) is a modified synthetic chemical similar to vinegar.

For years, TCA peels have only been administered by estheticians and physicians during expensive treatments.

The plant based organic I’m Fabulous Cosmetics TCA Cleanser is great for acne, scars, wrinkles, fine lines, dull skin and sun damage.

This incredible, highly effective face wash will act as an acne treatment, pore minimizer & oil reducer by removing the top layer of skin, helps reduce fine lines, wrinkles and scarring thus leaving you with fresh, healthy, radiant skin!

TREAT MULTIPLE SKIN CONDITIONS! Salicylic Acid reduces acne inflammation and scars, sun damage, blemishes, blackheads, whiteheads, acne, psoriasis, and large pores – all with one simple treatment!

Buy your TCA cleanser here

Doing a TCA body at home will definitely save you money. Medical spa and physicians charges between $300 to $2500 per Chemical peel treatment. However, you can buy a TCA body peel online for under $100.

Most TCA body peels are ready to use and no mixing is necessary. The peels come in a variety of strengths or concentrations of acid. A TCA peel works by removing dead skin cells and stimulating new skin cell growth. People use TCA peels to try to get younger-looking skin, and to treat certain skin conditions, like melasma and acne scarring.

Is TCA peel better than glycolic peel?

TCA PeelsTCA peels are medium-depth peel that penetrates deeper than the glycolic or salicylic acid peels, making them a good choice for those with scarring or pigmentation issues. 4 Darden notes that this type of peel is medical-grade and can only be done by licensed professionals.

What does a TCA body peel do:

  • Balances oil production and clarifies clogged pores
  • Dissolves dry skin and bumps like those caused by keratosis pilaris
  • Softens the appearance of dark spots and sun damage

Can you see results after 1 peel?

You will notice a visible improvement in your skin after one peel, but best results are obtained with multiple treatments over time. … Just as it takes time for skin damage to accumulate, it also takes time to reverse it.

How often can I repeat TCA peel?

TCA Peels can be repeated more often than you probably think, every 2 weeks for Dermalogica Pro Power Peels, every 4 weeks for lighter TCA, and every 3-6 months for deeper TCA. It is recommended that peels be done in a series of 3 to receive the best results.

With regular use, MY skin became immediately clearer, softer, smoother, and spot-free. The TCA Lactic & Glycolic body peel is self-neutralizing and contains a powerful five-acid complex to address everything from dark spots to body acne. Safe for sensitive skin and eczema, natural exfoliating acids like lactic and salicylic remove dead skin, soften keratin bumps, and eradicate acne-causing bacteria. “I was in love after just the first treatment”, said Erika!

According to Allure Magazine, chemical peels are the secret to better looking skin.  TCA peels are in our opinion one of the best, most effective options.

TCA is considered a keratocoagulant, meaning it coagulates the skin’s proteins together. This process is a lot like cooking egg whites – the raw egg white is slightly clear and goopy and cooking it turns it white and hardens it.

TCA is a great acid that any skin enthusiast can incorporate into her or his treatment arsenal to focus on pigmentation and aging. If combined with other chemical agents (like Salicylic Acid), it can also show marked changes on acneic breakouts and the common side effects that acne leaves behind, such as post-inflammatory pigmentation.

WHAT IT’S TYPICALLY USED FOR

Trichloroacetic acid (TCA) can be used in a variety of concentrations
and is used to accomplish the following:

  • Smooth fine surface wrinkles
  • Remove superficial blemishes
  • Correct pigment problems
  • Reduce brown spots and age spots
  • Improve the texture of leathery, sun damaged skin and impart more
  • More glowing skin
  • Improve melasma
  • Treat some types of acne

WHERE IT COMES FROM AND HOW IT WORKS

You might be surprised to know that many of today’s chemical peeling agents originated from household kitchen items. Take the hydroxy acids: Tartaric Acid comes from grapes, Malic Acid from apples, Glycolic Acid from sugar cane and Lactic Acid from sour milk, to name a few. Similarly, the more potent peeling agent TCA (trichloroacetic acid), is a modified synthetic chemical based on common vinegar, or acetic acid. However, it’s a powerful solution that effectively desquamates the outer layers of the skin without posing a serious risk for toxicity.

I’m Fabulous Cosmetics range of acne care products are specifically designed to calm and quell acne prone skin and alleviate the effects of acne scars and discoloration.   Naturally, heal skin with earth derived ingredients and beautiful botanicals.  We are your “go-to” option for truly natural acne care skin products, when you want solid results and also want to avoid harsh chemicals and synthetics.  Prevent breakouts with better skincare options, made fresh for you the day you place your order.

Some dermatologists, in fact, still prefer TCA peels for treating sun damage or melasma, usually in combination with prescription creams. TCA peels may be a good option, particularly if you have melasma, Because many lasers are difficult to use when treating melasma.

Lighter TCA peel product results are considered the best approach. This is similar to other light peels that usually involve hydroxy acids such as glycolic, salicylic, or a mixture of other hydroxy acids. Medium depth TCA peels are usually done once or twice a year and do require some downtime – usually about a week – when the peeling is obvious.

How much do TCA treatments cost?

A TCA peel or treatment in a doctors office or spa can run from $300 to $1,000 for a full face peel and are often done in a series. A full face, neck, and chest will cost more.

One of our TCA products will be a much more affordable option for you. One of the great benefits to using one of our products is that you can control the gradual effects over time.

In minutes, acids lift away dead cells and trigger a lovely chain reaction: “As that topmost layer is shed, signals are sent to the living cells below to multiply and move up, to increase collagen production, to make more hyaluronic acid—to act younger. “Your skin-care products perform better after a peel because there are no dead cells impeding their penetration,” says New York City dermatologist Elliot Cultz, MD.

Introducing the:

Year of sun tanning and outdoors activities without sunscreen can leave you with, sun damaged skin, dark spots, rough and very dry skin. Not fun! And now summer is coming and you want to look good in your bikini!

By removing the old skin cells of your skin, you will reveal healthy, bright skin. The controlled damage of TCA products also stimulates your skin to heal itself by producing new collagen and elastin. Collagen remodeling makes your skin healthier, more elastic, and better able to retain moisture.

Skin Cells

You started life as a single cell that divided into two cells. Those divided into four, and so on, until you grew into an adult. Once we reach adulthood, most of our cells stop growing and dividing. We’re done at that point. There are a few exceptions, however, and one of those is skin cells.

You may have noticed that when your skin is dry, it gets flaky and pieces fall off. Don’t be alarmed and think that you’re eventually going to lose all of your skin. Skin cells die, slough off, and are replaced by new skin cells. The process slows down as you get older, but it never stops.

Skin cells grow and divide in the basement membrane. From here, the new cells get pushed up into the epidermis. Once in the epidermis, the cells no longer receive blood or nutrients. They begin the slow process of dying and sloughing off to be replaced by yet more new cells. Your outermost layer of skin is nothing but dead cells.

Get rid of fine lines

If the skin on your face, neck, decolletage, legs, arms, or hands looks slightly crepey, dry, or is marred by fine lines and wrinkles, we may recommend the I’m Fabulous Trio.

You may feel a slight tingling sensation as the acids gently release your old, dead cells from the surface of your skin (epidermis). Afterward, your skin may be slightly pink or look sunburned for about three to five days. To keep your skin bright and healthy, by adding a regimen you can keep your skin smooth.

Smooth away brown spots and wrinkles

When the sun’s UVA and UVB rays have caused alterations in your skin pigments, such as brown spots and actinic keratoses, we may recommend at home light and safe skin peels.

Remedy tired looking, sagging skin

A skin peel may be your best choice if you have severe sun damage with deep creasing and wrinkling and multiple areas of hyperpigmentation. The effects of a skin body peel are similar to those of laser therapy, as both reach down to the deepest layers of your skin to stimulate collagen remodeling.
