The hair and makeup looks that come off the Fashion Week runways are often innovative and phenomenal, but also quite exaggerated and excessive, which makes them hard to incorporate into an everyday look. But every now and then a few original takes on beauty show up on the runway that not only feel wearable but doable as well. The looks from the spring 2019 showcases were a combination of the two, some over the top, some attainable, but all worth your attention. Listed below are some of the best 2019 beauty trends you will be seeing everywhere the next season:

Fierce and feminine makeup

Soft and subtle looks appeared on the runway in more ways than one. Some designers opted for a smooth porcelain complexion paired with a monochromatic pale pink look, from a single-toned eyeshadow to just a hint of magenta on the center of the lip and a few coats of matching mascara to add a pop of color. Others chose delicate hues of lilac and purple in the form of subtle cat eye looks in order to accentuate the model’s eyes in the most feminine way.

Bold dark choices

On the other side of the spectrum, some designers went for dramatic, dark looks that make a bold statement. The smoky eye has been reinvented this season and it graced the runways in the form of daring, graphic eyes carefully smudged at the edges in order to achieve the iconic smoky look. A few unexpected black lips were seen, drawn on in a feminine shape and drenched in high shine lip gloss. A darkly romantic look and a perfect take on the usually strictly alternative black lipstick.

High shine nails in glitter and gloss

From practical ovals to low square tips, all kinds of manicure designs were seen on the runway this season, ranging in colors from simple neutrals to rich jewel tones. But one undeniable trend was surely the abundance of glitz and shine. Stunning high gloss finishes were all over the runways, along with mesmerizing glitters strategically placed on the tip of the nail, and even bejeweled nails and fingers showcasing various crystals and stones. So find some great nail salons nearby and welcome the new season with a fresh, trendy and incredibly shiny manicure.

Intricate temporary tattoos

Tattoos are not the first thing that pops into your mind when you think about high fashion, but they were gracing the runways this season in the most beautiful ways. Drawn on the skin almost as an extension of the elaborate lacing that embellished the designs, these tattoos were placed on the necks, shoulders and torsos of select models, creating a unique fashion statement. With the minimalistic body art trend holding its popularity to this day, these intricate designs propose a more elegant alternative to the usual simplistic line art tattoos of today.

Party-ready beach waves

A new take on the ever popular trend of subtle beach waves was introduced on the runways this season. The models’ hair was teased messily and curled into matte, windswept strands in order to create this effortless effect. The hairstylists truly played up the fluff and let loose hair strands hang rogue, trying to achieve this naturally beautiful vacation look of a model with soft and voluptuous hair who just got back from the beach.

Unexpected hair accessories

Hair accessories are gaining popularity this season as more and more designers opt for extraordinary embellishments. A large variety of accessories were seen, from face-framing headscarves reminiscent of Jackie O to beautiful velvet ribbons in mustard yellow and deep red which were perfectly positioned on messy buns and ponytails. But romantic florals strategically gracing the models’ hairstyles was the look that truly stole the show this season. Whether they were tucked into elaborate veiled updos or piled into loose lengths, these fresh flowers in various shades of crimson, fuchsia and peach instantly transformed the models into romantic fairytale characters.
