What Causes Under-Eye Wrinkles and Crow’s Feet?
The skin around the eye area is about 40% thinner than anywhere else on your face and body, and the many blood vessels found around the eyes shrink, causing more wrinkles. In addition, the skin surrounding your eyes is more susceptible to sun damage, pollution, and oxidative stress – all of which promote skin aging. The skin is thinner, it’s easier to develop wrinkles in this area compared to the rest of your face, so it’s important to treat this area with care and keep it well-nourished.
Over time, the amount of collagen and elastin in our skin reduces. Collagen is key to keeping our skin firm, and elastin keeps it flexible.
Eye wrinkles can develop through facial movements, which eventually develop into these lines. One of these facial movements is squinting. If you have problems with your eyes, get them checked, or you could end up with additional wrinkles.
Exposure to the sun is also one of the biggest causes of wrinkles. UV rays cause damage, which is especially true of the area under the eyes because it’s so thin.
The least invasive way to reduce under-eye wrinkles
Use a good plant based natural and organic eye cream or serum loaded with peptides. There are plenty of good ones on the market for all ages and skin types. Some of them only take a few weeks before you see the removal of under-eye wrinkles. Others are more short term, and you have to keep using them on a daily basis to get results.
Vitamin C and Hyaluronic acid are also beneficial, but Retinol is a proven anti-aging.
We love the following plant-based natural products:

Why is the Super peptide eye serum so amazing?
The massively talked about active ingredient Syn-ake® works like Botox, by inhibiting the release of neurotransmitters which cause facial muscle tension (fine lines & wrinkles). With the muscle contraction inhibited, fine lines and wrinkles are visibly reduced. So, a bit like the action of Botox – without the needles and pain. Syn-ake® is scientifically and clinically proven to reduce wrinkle depth and quickly! Add to this the other wrinkle busting ingredients, and you can declare war on your wrinkles and frown lines, plus all the amazing other plant ingredients in this amazing organic formula.
How to use it?
Twice daily, dab a small amount onto the applicator and gently massage onto the eye area for increased micro-circulation. Our favorite beauty hack? Stow I’m Fabulous’s eye treatment applicators in the fridge for 3 to 5 minutes for a refreshing revamp of your go-to eye regimen.
What are the benefits of exfoliating around the eye area?
There are many benefits to exfoliating around the eye area. First and foremost, exfoliation aids in removing dead skin cells from the skin surface and unclogging pores, which in turn helps eye serums and eye creams to properly absorb into the skin and ultimately have a more powerful anti-aging effect on the skin as opposed to when these products are put on top of old skin.
Another benefit of weekly exfoliation is a smoother application of makeup. Makeup such as concealer will apply more effortlessly on “new” skin as opposed to “old” skin.
Micro needling for the eye
You can have micro-needling around the eye area and the results can be excellent, but again please do your research and make sure you see the right person. The tiny needles are rolled on your skin, and the stress that they cause forces your skin into collagen-producing mode. In other words, your skin is fast-tracked into the renewal process and fine lines can be dramatically reduced. The best way to use it is with the NANO needle cartridges, which are very short and tiny needles. This can give great results when used with the Glow derma pen around the eye area twice a week.
