This glowing skin smoothie is not only energy boosting and delicious, it contains ingredients known to keep skin healthy.
Many foods contain vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that can help improve your skin’s health. Plant-based foods, such as vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, and beans are especially rich in skin-supporting nutrients, and studies show that they can actually help improve skin elasticity and hydration.
√ The mangos and pineapple. Mangos contain carotenoids, which help our skin glow. My dermatologist told me that these carotenoids help give a rosy glow to dull looking skin. And pineapples are high in vitamin C, which I’ve learned is key to the production of collagen, giving our skin its firmness and strength.
Did you know that smoothies can help you stay hydrated, which may influence your skin‘s elasticity and appearance. Drinking a smoothie adds much-needed fluids to your diet, not only from the liquid ingredients, but also from the fruits and vegetables.
√ Spinach OR kale may be used. Both nutrient dense super foods.
√ Coconut water. This is known to be incredibly hydrating.
√ The avocado. Avocados are known to hydrate the skin, bringing back that glow we all love.
