What is Botox?

Botulinum toxin type A (Botox) is one of the most well-known methods for warding off wrinkles and other signs of aging. It’s a prescription medication that’s injected into the muscles of the face.

Botox works by stopping the muscle that it’s injected into from contracting, so it appears relaxed and smooth. Botox is effective at reducing the appearance of wrinkles and preventing new wrinkles from forming. This treatment may be considered expensive, however. Prices vary by provider and state, but you can expect to pay $100 to upwards of $800 per treatment depending on the areas you treat and if it is a physician or a nurse injecting it.

The effects are temporary, so you need repeat treatments to maintain the effects.

There is also Creams and serums alternatives to botox using Syn®-Ake peptide which acts by reducing muscle cell contraction, smoothing mimic wrinkles in a short period, and is reversible. It is useful in anti-aging products and wrinkle treatment products, especially those targeting expression lines.

Wrinkles relaxer serum

Syn®-Ake peptide is an anti-wrinkle active compound based on a synthetic tripeptide that mimics the effect of Waglerin 1, a peptide that is found in the venom of the Temple Viper, Tropidolaemus wagleri, excellent results can be seen. The I’m Fabulous Cosmetics Caviar luxury lifting serum is an excellent organic skincare product to be used as an alternative to Botox and Dysport or to be used following the treatment as a daily moisturizer, wrinkles relaxer. Tips for healthy skin

Taking care of your skin can help slow down the aging process. To help keep your skin healthy, basic maintenance goes a long way. Follow these tips:

  • Always wear SPF on your face. There are many lotions and makeup products that have SPF already added.
  • Wear sunglasses with large lenses to help reduce sun exposure on the delicate skin around your eyes.
  • Wear a hat when in the sun to further protect your skin.
  • Stay hydrated. Drink a lot and use a hydrating face mask twice a week.
  • Remove makeup before sleep.
  • Start using a good-quality anti-aging organic cream and Serums at bedtime and in the morning, as early as possible.
  • Eat a well-balanced, healthy diet.

Face Exercises

exercise can help ward off aging in the body, why not in the face, too? A method reportedly used by celebrities like Jennifer Aniston and Cindy Crawford, FaceExercise uses cupping and facial massage to improve blood flow and circulation. It’s also said to work the lymphatic system to clear out toxins in the tissues.

Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which a therapist puts special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. People get it for many purposes, including to help with pain, inflammationblood flow, relaxation and well-being, and as a type of deep-tissue massage.

Facial cupping has been shown to: increase oxygen-rich blood circulation.
Because of this, the practice is said to:

  • brighten skin.
  • minimize the appearance of scars, fine lines, and wrinkles.
  • tone chin, jawline, neck, and décolletage.
  • decrease puffiness.
  • regulate oil production.
  • improve nutrient delivery and product absorption.

What are anti-aging injection alternatives?

Instead of choosing an injection with a needle into the skin and muscles of the face, many people are turning to topical creams and serums alternatives. There are topicals that can plump areas of the face, such as serum with hyaluronic acid, which can hold up to 1000x its own molecular weight in water.

By plumping the skin the topical can help to minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. There are other topicals, such as Peptides, Syn-ake, and Snap8, that can slow down the muscle contractions after several weeks of usage. These topicals build up in the skin and can either help prolong actual injections of Botox tm or Dysport tm or the like, or they can be used as an alternative to the injections themselves or in between treatments. Many people find that after using topical serums or creams for several months, that they can see a huge change in their skin’s appearance and looks.

Hyaluronic acid isn’t harsh or skin-stripping at all. In fact, it’s the exact opposite – a powerful humectant (aka moisture-binding ingredient) that keeps skin plump and hydrated and, yes, young-looking. … The other way to help plump up skin is to use a serum or moisturizer that contains hyaluronic acid.

Collagen is a protein comprised of long segments of amino acids arranged like a chain. When collagen breaks down, short segments of amino acids are formed. These are the tiny proteins and active molecules known as peptides. Peptides in skin care can provide significant anti-aging benefits.

Snap 8 is an anti-wrinkle peptide that relaxes the look of expression lines. … It is used by all of the major skincare companies for fine lines and wrinkles with visibly smoother looking skin! Relax away the expression lines and wrinkles around your mouth, nose, eyes, and brow with Snap 8.

Cosmetic acupuncture can be great too?

OK, so this isn’t needle-free, obviously. But it is a product-free way of addressing a lot of issues. Acupuncture can be a great way to fix sagging skin without putting toxins in your face.

Facial yoga techniques are also great to improve muscle tone and reduce fines lines.

Just 30-minutes-a-day of facial exercises can knock years off the appearance in as little as five months.

Facial workouts, also known as ‘face yoga’, is a beauty trend which has emerged in the past few years, and promises to be a non-invasive alternative to botox or surgery.

The techniques are also said to stimulate collagen and elastin production in the dermis – the middle layer of skin – making the face more supple, tighter and, most importantly, younger looking.

The exercises enlarge and strengthen the facial muscles, so the face becomes firmer and more toned and shaped like a younger face.

Botox is a popular treatment which is renowned for its unique ability to help an assortment of conditions.

Botox is an approved drug which is injected into the face to reduce wrinkles. The most common places to have Botox injected are the forehead, frown lines, around the eyes and the lower face, but it also has other medical applications. Botox is entirely safe when injected by a trained medical professional.

Truths and Myths about Botox Treatment

If you’re undecided on whether Botox is right for you, here are seven myths and truths you need to know and consider, before taking the plunge.

#1 The Myth – Dermal Fillers and Botox are the same Treatment

The Truth – Dermal Fillers plump up the skin and Botox relaxes your facial muscles.

While dermal fillers and Botox are both facial injectable, they serve an entirely different purpose. Botox is designed to stop habitual muscle use, which reduces the appearance of wrinkles. Dermal fillers also reduce the appearance of wrinkles, but they do so by plumping up the skin. Many patients choose to use both options which create a plumper, wrinkle-free face.

#2 The Myth – Botox Treatment is only for women

The Truth – Botox Treatments are used for removing wrinkles from your face, despite your gender.

If you’re looking for Botox in Chiswick, then it’s great to know there are no gendered facial treatments. Botox is appropriate for anyone with wrinkles caused by muscle contractions. While men and women can experience great results with Botox, men get better results with injections designed to enhance their masculine features. Research has found that men need more Botox per treatment.

#3 The Myth – Botox is only for the cosmetic purpose

The Truth – Botox can help recover people suffering from overactive bladders and migraine pain.

Botox is excellent for managing and healing a wide range of medical conditions. The active ingredient in Botox is an effective treatment for ailments such an overactive bladder, migraines, excess sweating and teeth grinding. It also reduces scars after reconstructive facial surgery.

#4 The Myth – Taking Botox is a very painful process

The Truth – Painless techniques like preserved saline are available to maximize patients comfort and decrease pain.

Botox injections are designed to minimize pain. Newer injections combine Botox with preserved saline, which is proven to reduce any pain you may feel when it is being injected. Many doctors use a technique where they push the skin into the needle, which is gentler and much less painful.

#5 The Myth – Botox is a permanent solution to a wrinkle-free face

The Truth – Botox treatment is temporary and results last only for 3-6 months.

Botox wears off. Although it is a personal preference, most users schedule appointments every three to six months to prevent wrinkles from returning.

#6 The Myth – Botox makes wrinkles worse once you stop using it

The Truth – Botox has no negative side effects.

If you decide to stop using Botox, your normal muscle function will return. You might think that the normal frown lines or crow’s feet appear to be worse since you are accustomed to seeing a line-free face. But, the fact is, it will just go back to the same condition it was in before using the Botox.

#7 The Myth – If you go through plastic surgery you will never need Botox

The Truth – Plastic surgery and Botox work differently.

General plastic surgery is designed to sculpt or lift unwanted facial features. While a facelift may give you a tighter appearance, it won’t stop your muscles from contracting which is the main cause of wrinkles. Plastic surgery cannot immobilize muscles, which is why Botox is the injectable of choice for wrinkles.

As the skin ages, it loses the ability either to produce or utilization some its natural peptides. Enzymes that are designed to break down skin structures, to make way for new structures, continue to work against collagen and elastin. However, the skin cannot replace these supportive structures with new ones; the face begins to droop and sag from its original position. Also as part of the aging process, the skin becomes less able to hold on to its natural moisture. To compound this, it also produces less moisture. When cells are not adequately hydrated, they are sunken, which further worsens the look of already sagging skin.

Have you heard of SNAP-8?

SNAP-8 is an octapeptide, or the combination of 8 amino acids which are linked together to create one particular peptide. SNAP-8, created by Kinerase, is being marketed as the second generation of Argireline, and is said to be 30% more effective. According to studies (albeit published by Kinerase and not seemingly backed by any independent researchers), it can reduce the depth and appearance of wrinkles by 34.9% (Source).

What is SNAP-8?

SNAP-8 is a muscle contraction inhibitor that reduces the depth of wrinkles on the face caused by the contraction of muscles of facial expression, especially in the forehead and around the eyes.

It is thought to be a safer, more economical and milder alternative to Botox, in part because it is more powerful at lower concentrations.

Snap-8 has some benefits that help to reverse these signs of aging, by working under the skin to relax muscles and to provide the nutrients that skin needs to function properly. Under the skin of the face, we have some vital muscles, which make it possible for us to create expressions. As we repeatedly smile, blink, speak, and squint, our muscles begin to become more and more contracted under the skin. This prominently expresses itself around the mouth and eyes and on the forehead, as we mature.

These muscles become permanently contracted, causing wrinkles on the surface of the skin. Fine lines and wrinkles are so common and so widespread that we even have nicknames for them. Around the eyes, we have crow’s feet, around the mouth, parentheses, and worry lines on the forehead.

In clinical studies, Snap 8 was compared to Argireline. Both were used twice a day, but Snap-8 proved itself to be at least 30% more effective than Argireline.

– Reduces the depth of wrinkles on the face caused by the contraction of muscles of facial expression, especially in the forehead and around the eyes.

– A safer, cheaper, and milder alternative to Botulinum Toxin, topically targeting the same wrinkle-formation mechanism in a very different way.

It’s the ancestral secret of Japanese youth. Kobido, also referred to as Japanese facial massage, aims to rejuvenate your face by putting elasticity back into your skin. It originates from the traditional Japanese massage anma and is a combination of face and neck massage.

Kobido kicks off with an energizing phase, stimulating the energetic points of your face, and it finishes off with lymphatic draining (sliding movements) to get rid of toxins. So yes, a younger face is possible without surgery!

This technique lies in a mix of fast and slow hands’ movements to improve the deep circulation of the face, neck and upper chest part. To massage with different speed levels is essential since it permits to destroy dead cells and to foment elastin and collagen production, both so useful for our skin health. Like that, it is possible to obtain a real rejuvenation effect: wrinkles are smoothed, volumes are restored and of course, skin is brighter. After the first session, you already can see some results which increase in the medium and long-term.

LOOKING FEW YEARS YOUNGER IS NOT THE UNIQUE BENEFIT THAT KOBIDO FACIAL MASSAGE CAN PROVIDE. IT HAS OTHER BENEFICIAL POWERS FOR THE HEALTH:

  • Fights stress
  • Provides a complete relaxation and wellness
  • Reduces bruxism effects
  • Relieves headaches
  • Avoids facial rigidity
  • Decreases some digestive system problems
  • Improves the eyesight

Benefits: Kobido stimulates blood and lymphatic circulation, and consequently improves the quality of your skin. It liberates your face of muscular tension that’s responsible for the formation of wrinkles. In addition, your skin’s purified and moisturized.

Price: From $40 to $100 for 60 minutes, depending on where you go. This awesome treatment is very popular in Japan and France.

Not recommended if you use Botox or have skin inflammation.
