A rosacea-proof skincare routine can help put the brakes on the flare-ups.

What is Rosacea

Rosacea (roe-ZAY-she-uh) is a common skin condition that causes redness and visible blood vessels in your face. It may also produce small, red, pus-filled bumps. These signs and symptoms may flare up for weeks to months and then go away for a while. Rosacea can be mistaken for acne, other skin problems or natural ruddiness.

Rosacea can affect anyone. But it’s most common in middle-aged women who have light skin. There’s no cure for rosacea, but treatment can control and reduce the signs and symptoms.

What causes Rosacea?

Causes

The cause of rosacea is unknown, but it could be due to a combination of hereditary and environmental factors. Rosacea is not caused by poor hygiene.

A number of factors can trigger flare-ups, including:

  • Hot drinks and spicy foods
  • Red wine and other alcoholic beverages
  • Temperature extremes
  • Sunlight or wind
  • Emotions
  • Exercise
  • Drugs that dilate blood vessels, including some blood pressure medications
  • Various cosmetic products

Avoid overly-drying cleansers

Harsh cleansers and scrubs will strip the skin of essential oils leading to dryness and inflammation.

The cleanser should be devoid of such rosacea irritants as alcohol, witch hazel, fragrance, menthol, and eucalyptus oil.

People with rosacea tend to have more sensitive skin, so it’s important to choose the right facial products. This gentle cleanser is a good choice because it does not contain soaps or fragrances and it actually can condition the skin as it cleanses.

The I’m Fabulous Cosmetics Luxe cleanser is a very gentle gel face wash, fabulous for sensitive skin. Loaded with marine ingredients is an extract obtained by biotechnology from a marine Biointec™ blue biotechnology microorganism. It acts on multiple stages of the pigmentation process to consistently reduce the deposition of melanin in the epidermis. As a consequence it brightens the skin complexion, especially hyperpigmented spots, greatly contributing to increase evenness.

Novel brightening active that evens out the skin tone for a fair and radiant complexion. Step by step to perfectly even skin tone.

It is best to use a gentle cleanser morning and night preferably organic and plant-based.

A good hydrating Vitamin C serum after cleansing your skin in the morning. To provide superior antioxidant protection with deep penetration and a serum that contains niacinamide which helps keep the skin barrier strong; acts as an antioxidant, and brightens skin.

I’m Fabulous Cosmetics Niacinamide organic serum concentrated 20% niacinamide serum dramatically improves uneven skin tone and refines the appearance of pore size, skin texture, and fine lines. This must-have everyday serum is a great moisturizer – Creates a tight barrier on the skin that prevents water loss. The result is a plumper, firmer skin. Pores appear tighter and smaller.

In your early 50s, you most likely will experience menopause, when estrogen halts and testosterone takes over. During the first few years of menopause, your skin will lose a significant amount of its collagen and moisture, and as a result, your ‘glow’ will vanish as well. While wrinkles are annoying enough, many people find themselves dealing with crepey skin for the first time in their 50s. Those fine lines and early wrinkles you may have been fighting against in your 30s and 40s will likely become permanent fixtures on your face by 50. Hormonal changes also occur as we reach our 50s, which is when menopause starts, and this can make your skin dry and sandpaper-like in touch.

1-BRIGHTEN UP YOUR SKIN WITH SKIN PEELS

Our skin renewal decreases significantly with every year, causing the skin to look dull and dry. A weekly at-home gentle skin peel can help. Your skin actually becomes thinner as you get older, becoming drier and more fragile as a result. People who are older can develop skin that breaks more easily, causing cuts and scabs. You can use a gentle face peel and a body peel to make your skin softer and help with the sun damage, age spots, and dry skin.

2-ENHANCE YOUR TEXTURE WITH MICRO-NEEDLING

What Is Micro-needling?

Microneedling is a cosmetic procedure. It involves pricking the skin with tiny sterilized needles. The small wounds cause your body to make more collagen and elastin, which heal your skin and help you look younger. You might also hear it called collagen induction therapy.

Micro-needling is used to treat and improve conditions like acne scarring, fine lines and wrinkles, loose skinskin texture, pore size, brown spots, stretch marks, and pigment issues. It’s also called skin needling, collagen induction therapy (CIT), and percutaneous collagen induction.

Micro-needling can be safely repeated every 4-6 weeks until you achieve the desired results. For collagen induction we recommend to start with 3 treatments, but with a minimum separation time of 4 to 6 weeks between treatments. For scar reduction an average of 3 to 6 treatments are recommended.

It’s considered effective in treating minor scarring related to acne, wounds, and aging. You’ll likely notice brighter, firmer skin, too. Ideal results are achieved after multiple sessions. Micro-needling is far more effective than at-home rollers. An electric pen like the I’m Fabulous Cosmetics Glow Derma pen, is safe, painless and super easy to use.

3-SMOOTH YOUR SKIN OUT WITH DERMAPLANING

Professional Dermaplaning Tool is an aesthetician approved, at-home facial exfoliation treatment that uses a sterile single edge blade to safely remove the buildup of dead skin and peach fuzz that make your complexion appear dull and flaky. By stripping the outermost layer of dead skin on the face the Dermaplaning Tool instantly reveals smoother, more luminous skin.

4-FADE LINES WITH PEPTIDES & RETINOL

Peptides are the building blocks of collagen and elastin fibers that are found in our skin, explains cosmetic Dr. Jen Robins, MD. They’re short chains of amino acids, and can tell the body to produce even more collagen. When it comes to fighting wrinkles, the first ingredient people think about is retinol. But peptides are a great alternative and have almost been forgotten about! … Peptides are great for sensitive skin or skin that is new to an anti-aging routine.

After the age of 50 for best skin care routine it best to use Peptides and Retinol. Retinol cream at night and a peptide serum in the morning. The strongest peptides are copper peptides and can even help with intensive skin repair and scarring. This also can be applied together with micro-needling. For those with stubborn skincare concerns, like deep wrinkles and pronounced uneven skin tone, you may want to consider a product with a higher percentage of retinol, between 0.5% and 2.5% retinol.

Eczema is the most common skin disease around the world. Mostly, sensitive skin owners are the worst victim of it. Such discomfort is just unbearable for any individual.

Luckily, there are some initiatives; you can vigorously take to prevent it at home. You may be wondering about how to treat severe eczema at home. Following is the best home remedy against skin inflammation.

Best home treatment for eczema

At the beginning of home treatment of eczema, if you used these kind tips before and not worked for you then I suggest to you use the best shampoo for eczema.

  1. Using homemade eczema cream:

Topical eczema requires fast healing with eczema cream made at home. Hence, there are other products for eczema too available in the market. But they are comparatively costly and have side effects too.

The components we need are pure Aloe Vera gel, turmeric powder, and natural tea tree oil.

First of all, take 5 tablespoons of Aloe Vera and mix the rest of the ingredients with it. Then keep this paste in the fridge for 20 minutes. Apply it on the affected skin area by covering rashes and red patches fully. Let it be like this for about 2-3 hours.

When it is dry, rinse it with water and apply some natural moisturizer. Regularly do this for twice in a day. Hopefully, it works better for quick healing.

2. Use Olive Oil:

Severe eczema often causes dry and itchy skin with rashes and red patches.  Olive oil contains vitamin E. In fact, Vitamin E is definitely convenient for cracked skin.

Firstly, you need to clean the whole affected area with water. Then apply this effective oil on the eczema part of the skin. Let it remain like this way for 3-4 hours. If possible use it before sleeping at night.

3. Turmeric:

Turmeric has been considered as one of the most beneficial home treatments for skin issues. The excellent healing ability of it is simply the best. It has the ability to prevent unnecessary bacterial growth.

To make the best use of it, you need to make a paste to apply. Use 3 tablespoons of turmeric powder with olive oil. Mix them properly with each other and apply this useful paste on the affected area. Then wait for an hour. Afterward, rinse the skin with water. We sincerely expect it to cure your skin inflammation.

4. Use coconut oil:

When you are desperately seeking home remedies for severe eczema attack, coconut oil appears to be the best treatment close to your hand.

Laurie acid, an essential ingredient found in it is highly beneficial for soothing skin irritation. Alternatively, it works great for saving your skin from peeling and flaking.

5. Apply tea tree oil:

This is another important home remedy to soften your skin from excessive dryness. It effectively moisturizes your skin that ultimately prevents facial scars, skin itchiness, rashes, acne etc.

6. Sunflower Oil: Sunflower Oil is made from sunflower seeds. The medical science proved that it protects skin from the outer layer, which helps to keep in moisturizer and it removes bacteria from the skin.  It also hydrates skin and relieves from itching and inflammation.

7. Aloe Vera: Aloe Vera is a natural product, which is very helpful for many kinds of health problems like eczema, skin problem, hair problem etc. Pure aloe gel is rich within anti-inflammatory and healing compounds which will help you to keep your skin very cool. So you can grow Aloe Vera plant in your house so that you can use a pure Aloe Vera gel.

8. Bathing: For those people whose have eczema problem, many doctors suggest to them to bath too many time once a day and some of suggesting to bath once a day. It is true that bathing many times once a day spoils moisturizers. For that, it will be better if you use moisturizers after complete your bath. It will keep your skin fresh also.

Conclusion: Dealing with severe eczema is not very easy to do. Still, there is some hope to survive from it if you know how to treat severe eczema at home. In fact, natural home remedies are suitable to combat this skin ailment successfully rather than using chemical products. We hope, above mentioned one of the ingredients at least work for you.

Dry and dehydrated skins have similar characteristics, but different underlying reasons. Dry skin will make you look older and make wrinkles and fine lines appear more.

Dry Skin – normally a skin type but can be a temporary skin condition

  • caused by lack of oil in the skin
  • small pores
  • tight feeling
  • flaky
  • milia, blackheads and sp, ts may still be present
  • skin looks dull
  • skin is not plump
  • doesn’t absorb products easily
  • easily irritated – more likely to suffer reactions to products
  • aggravated by poor skincare

Dehydrated Skin – is a skin condition affecting any skin type – including DRY

  • caused by lack of water in the skin
  • pores can be large or small
  • skin feels tight and dry although it can confusingly sometimes look oily and have breakouts
  • absorbs moisturisers really quickly
  • blackheads and spots are still visible
  • makeup disappears

Did you know that the skin is made up of 70% water – around  20-30% of that is in the epidermis (top layer of the skin). In normal circumstances, your hydrolipidic film acts as a regulator and barrier which retaining moisture and protecting against germs.

For whatever reason that is compromised, the moisture in the epidermis evaporates too quickly and the normal, healthy state of the skin is compromised.

Any and all of the following can cause dehydration – standby!:

  1. Environment – wind, cold air, dry air, too much sun, air conditioning, central heating
  2. Diet – the wrong foods, alcoholcaffeine, not eating enough water-heavy foods, not drinking enough
  3. Lifestyle – stress, poor skincare routine, using the wrong products, medication – including birth control, smoking
  4. Genetics – monthly cycle, pregnancy

It is quite common to be both dry and dehydrated but if by looking at the above you have ascertained that you are one or the other – these do’s and don’t might help.

DO

  • Moisturize morning and night
  • Add hyaluronic acid to your routine
  • Use balms, oils and serums for dry skin.
  • Use oils and treatments for dehydrated.
  • We love the Hydrating Rose Water Organic (This amazing rosewater is loaded with raw ingredients. Has no water or alcohol. _Only hydrating pure raw ingredients!)
  • Eat food with omega like salmon, olive oil and avocados
  • Buy a humidifier

DO NOT

Stay away from mineral oils, silicones (in skincare – not makeup), lanolins and synthetic fragrance which will make a dehydrated skin worse and make a dry skin even drier.

Do not use soap but instead cleanser oils or hydrating cleansers

Flax or fish oil supplements will help both dry and dehydrated skins. It takes about 3 to 4 months to see the benefits on your skin.

There are four basic types of healthy skin: normal, dry, oily and combination skin. Skin type is determined by genetics.

Combination skin is one of the more popular skin types. … Of all the different skin types, combination skin is one of the more confusing and prevalent ones. Characterized as having a mix of oily and dry skincombination skin is more common and persistent.
